Older Men’s Life earns money through affiliate links, and this page explains how that works and how it affects you.
What an affiliate link is
An affiliate link is a special link that tells a store which website sent you to it.
If you buy something after clicking one of these links, I may earn a small commission from the store.
You never pay more because you used my link, since the store pays the commission, not you.
Amazon Associates
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
This applies to every Amazon link on the site, including links inside articles, product lists, and comparison tables.
I may also join other affiliate programs, and the same rules on this page apply to all of them.
How I choose what to recommend
I recommend products only when I believe they would truly help an older man or the family who cares for him.
Commissions never decide what I recommend, how I rank products, or what I say about their strengths and weaknesses.
When I have not used a product myself, I say so plainly and base my view on research and trusted reviews.
No brand can pay to change my opinion, and I do not accept payment for positive reviews.
How you will know a link is an affiliate link
Every post that contains affiliate links carries a short notice near the top, before the first affiliate link appears.
That notice follows the endorsement guidance of the US Federal Trade Commission, which asks bloggers to disclose paid links clearly.
Why the site uses affiliate links
Affiliate commissions help pay for hosting, research, and the time it takes to write careful, useful articles.
They let me keep Older Men’s Life free to read for every man who needs it.
Thank you for supporting the site whenever you buy through one of these links.
